Dentists say they’ve seen a spike in people grinding their teeth since the pandemic started.

Sunday’s Prime time Emmy socially distant awards show got 5.1 million viewers–almost two million less than last year’s previous record low of 6.9 million. This year’s ceremony had more than a pandemic it was up against. This year was the first time the Emmys ever had to air against both NBC Sunday Night Football and the NBA Playoffs on the East Coast in primetime.

Schitt’s Creek cleaned up at Sunday night’s Emmy Awards, winning seven comedy categories, including all four acting awards The final, sixth season of  Schitt’s Creek. will arrive on Netflix beginning October 7, while five episodes of the show will air weekly on Comedy Central starting October 2.

Sylvestor Stallone’s mom Jackie Stallone died. She was 98. No clear details of how other than the evidence I have stated so far. This woman was that do all things person. An astrologer, she had her own psychic hotline. Jackie is also credited with coining the phrase and practice of rumpology … which is like reading someone’s palm, but reading other parts of their body, like moles and whatnot. She was a dancer. She helped kick-start the original “GLOW” wrestling program back in the ’80s … serving as a manager and promoter for the league, which of course would later be portrayed in the hit Netflix show of the same name. Mama Stallone was one of several ring handles she had. She was on Celebrity Big Brother UK. And mom of 3 famous children … Sylvester, singer Frank Stallone and late actress Toni D’Alto, whom she had with Anthony Filiti.

ELLEN DEGENERES responded to the accusations of a “toxic workplace environment” on the 18th season premiere of her show yesterday, and she admitted that “things happened . . . that never should have.” She also said she is the person you think she is. She didn’t elaborate, but the show did part ways with three top producers last month. Ellen’s DJ-slash-sidekick TWITCH has been promoted to co-executive producer.

Kelly Clarkson talked a little bit about her divorce yesterday.  She didn’t go into details but said she’s okay, and we’ll hear about it in her songs.

Larry King’s soon to be seventh ex-wife is asking for $33,100 a month in spousal support, claiming she has no money of her own. Shawn King says she has no income at all because she gave up modeling and TV host gigs to raise their kids. During the 22 years they were married, she was dependent on him, she says. She also claims the broadcaster makes much more money than he’s claiming in court documents, bringing up his $5 million payday from “The Millionth Question” podcast and $4 million dollars from the sale of their Beverly Hills home.

Mel Gibson has allegedly written a sequel to the 2004 film The Passion of the Christ. “Mel Gibson just sent me the third picture, the third draft. It’s coming,” actor Jim Caviezel told Breitbart. “It’s called The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection. It’s going to be the biggest film in world history.” According to Caviezel, the new movie would follow Jesus’ life post-biblical resurrection. The Passion of the Christ was hugely successful, drawing $622 million at box offices worldwide, although it was also accused of being antisemitic.

Walking talking wet blanket Noel Gallagher formerly of Oasis watched the MTV VMAs and called Miley Cyrus “god awful” Here is a quote  “That god awful woman Miley Cyrus was on and she was doing some f**king s**t and even my nine-year-old [Sonny] said, ‘Why is the cameraman just filming her legs?’” he said. “Women have been sexualized because of America,” Gallagher went on. “British culture would never sexualize a female. This has all come from America — that juvenile, jock, stupid f**ing culture.” However, it seems the Oasis rocker could be wrong and British culture would indeed sexualize a “female”; last year a survey found that almost half of British musicians were sexually harrassed. About 85 percent of them were afraid to say anything because of their careers.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN got a cool gift after one of his “Springsteen on Broadway” shows:  A fan gave him an acoustic guitar. And Bruce gave that fan something even cooler in return:  He used it to write his entire upcoming album, “Letter to You”. He says, quote, “All the songs from the album came out of it.  In perhaps less than 10 days.

“The Rock” acted more like The Hulk last week when he was forced to tear open his own front gate with his bare hands. Dwayne Johnson posted a pic of his handiwork on Instagram, explaining that the gate wouldn’t open on its own after storms caused a power outage. “Not my finest hour, but a man’s gotta go to work,” the 48-year-old actor joked. “Made some calls to see how fast I can get the gate tech on site, but I didn’t have 45 minutes to wait… I have hundreds of production crew members waiting for me to come to work so we can start our day. So I did what I had to do. I pushed, pulled and ripped the gate completely off myself. Tore it out of the brick wall, severed the steel hydraulics and threw it on the grass.” He added with a crying-laughing emoji that his security team “was able to meet the gate technician and welders about an hour later — and they were apparently ‘in disbelief and equally scared.'”

In a new Uber Eats commercial, Mark Hamill and Patrick Stewart fight over the pronunciation of the word “Tomato”.  As both of their food orders arrive, they also get confused with their space movie story lines.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the original “Friday the 13th”.  And because of the pandemic, movie theaters need special events to stay afloat. Throw in the fact that it’s Halloween season and I guess the time was right for this:  “Friday the 13th” is hitting theaters around the country on October 4th, 6th, and 7th. They’re also screening a featurette called “Secrets Galore Behind the Gore”, featuring legendary special effects man TOM SAVINI talking about his work on the film. A few AMC and Regal theaters are showing it

Brayden Point got Tampa Bay on the board first with a goal 11:23 into the first period. The Lightning followed up just under three minutes later with the team’s second goal. Then Kevin Shattenkirk scored the third in the first.  That provided the Lightning with a nice cushion, but the win didn’t come without some drama as the Stars clawed their way back, but Tampa Bay held on.
