X Ambassadors have released a new song called “skip.that.party,” the latest installment in the band’s collaborative (Eg) project.
The track features Los Angeles singer-songwriter Jensen McRae. In a statement, frontman Sam Harris explains he wanted to work with McRae after hearing her 2020 single, “Wolves.”
“My wife showed me ‘Wolves,’ and I was immediately devastated by how good it is,” Harris says. “I hit Jensen up on Instagram and asked if we could write together, and everything took off from there.”
X Ambassadors launched (Eg) in January with the song “ultraviolet.tragedies,” featuring Terrell Hines. The band hopes to spotlight emerging and unknown artists with the project.
The most recent XA album is 2019’s Orion. Last year, they teamed up with K.Flay and grandson for the single “Zen.”
If your looking for even more X Ambassadors content, the group recently covered The Weeknd‘s “Blinding Lights” to celebrate his Super Bowl halftime performance.
