Following its TikTok revival, Wheatus has released a new version of “Teenage Dirtbag.”

The updated track, dubbed “Bookie’s Dirtbag,” was recorded in collaboration with hip-hop artist Kid Bookie. It includes new verses by Bookie that add some contemporary references to the lyrics and keeps the original chorus, making it perhaps the only song to name-check both Nicki Minaj and Iron Maiden.

You can listen to “Bookie’s Dirtbag” now via digital outlets and watch its accompanying video streaming now on YouTube.

The original “Teenage Dirtbag” was released in 2000 but has since found a second life thanks to a TikTok trend that inspired videos from pop stars, including HalseyJoe Jonas and Christina Aguilera. Earlier this month, Wheatus released a new EP featuring sped-up and slowed-down versions of the song.
