Avenged Sevenfold is giving you a brief glimpse behind the curtain as the band continues to work on new music.

The “Bat Country” rockers posted a clip from the recording studio during a recent Instagram Live session, which was captured by a fan and posted to YouTube. The footage centers on drummer Brooks Wackerman as he and frontman M. Shadows discuss a particular beat. At the end, we get the quickest of previews of a possible new song.

The clip doesn’t offer too much in the way of concrete information, though we do hear an enlightening conversation regarding what each band member had for breakfast that morning. Still, the prospect of new Avenged Sevenfold music is probably exciting enough.

Avenged Sevenfold released their latest album, The Stage, in 2016.
