WALK THE MOON has premiered a new version of the band’s song “Different Colors.”

The updated recording, dubbed “Different Colors x Pride,” features pop singer-songwriter Jake Wesley Rogers and is being released now in honor of the last day of Pride Month.

“‘Different Colors’ is both a love song and a fight song,” says WTM frontman Nicholas Petricca. “This is about being a bridge instead of putting up walls. This is about leading with compassion. This is about how unity and diversity meet in the center of the same dance floor.”

He adds, “It’s the band’s first release of its kind since I came out publicly, and it’s so special to me to have such a stellar young artist like Jake Wesley Rogers to reimagine it with me.”

You can listen to “Different Colors x Pride” now via digital outlets. Proceeds will be donated to Cyndi Lauper‘s True Colors United charity, which supports homeless LGBTQ+ youth.

The original “Different Colors” appears on WALK THE MOON’s 2014 album, Talking Is Hard, which also features the mega-hit “Shut Up and Dance.”
