Evanescence‘s debut album, Fallen, has been certified Diamond by the RIAA.

The 2003 record officially passed the 10 million units mark last Wednesday, November 30. It’s the band’s first Diamond album and the highest-certified release of Amy Lee and company’s career.

Fallen introduced the world to Evanescence with the breakout single “Bring Me to Life” and helped the group win Best New Artist at the 2004 Grammys.

The Diamond certification comes just a few months before Fallen will celebrate its 20th anniversary in March 2023. Speaking previously with Rock Sound, Lee shared that she had an “idea” about how to mark the milestone occasion, teasing, “It probably won’t be what everybody expects.”

Along with whatever that might be, Evanescence’s 2023 plans include touring with Muse.

Meanwhile, in less happy news, Evanescence won’t be playing their scheduled concert in Poland Monday night due to a “relentless sickness going around [the band’s] camp” that has “taken hold” of Lee’s voice. The show is part of Evanescence’s ongoing European tour with Within Temptation, who is still set to perform.
