Vampire Weekend plan all day ‘fan party’ for album release

Vampire Weekend will celebrate the upcoming release of their fourth studio album, Father of the Bride, with an all-day party for fans. They’ll be at New York’s Webster Hall on May 5 featuring three live sets including playing the entire new album. The fan day includes a bagel breakfast and pizza lunch.

The band also announced shows on April 30 in Buffalo, New York, and May 2 in Kingston, New York. Following the album release, the band will officially kick off their tour on June 5 in Toronto.

SIDE NOTES

  • The band is originally from New York and have been together for 13 years.
  • So far, the band has released a six-pack of songs from the new album, including “Harmony Hall,” “2021,” “Sunflower,” “Big Blue,” “This Life,” and “Unbearably White.”
  • Currently the tour will run through November 19 and wrap in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
