Twenty One Pilots match their own ‘Billboard’ record with “Shy Away”

Fueled By Ramen

Twenty One Pilots are refusing to “Shy Away” from Billboard records with their new single.

“Shy Away,” the lead single from the duo’s upcoming album Scaled and Icy, debuted on this week’s edition of the publication’s Alternative Airplay chart at number 11. The last artist to debut that high on that particular ranking is — you guessed it — Twenty One Pilots, who bowed at number eight with “Jumpsuit,” the lead single from their last album, 2018’s Trench.

“Jumpsuit” would eventually hit number one on Alternative Airplay — a feat Twenty One Pilots have achieved seven times.

Scaled and Icy will be released May 21. Twenty One Pilots will celebrate the album’s arrival with a streaming concert that same day.
