The Strokes won’t be performing their scheduled headlining set at Spain’s Primavera Sound festival this Friday due to an “ongoing positive COVID-19 case” within the band.
The news comes after The Strokes had to pull out of the Boston Calling festival last weekend due to COVID-19.
The “Last Nite” outfit is expected to return to the stage next Wednesday, June 8, for a show in Stockholm, Sweden. They’re also scheduled to play the second weekend of Primavera Sound on June 10.
Later this month, The Strokes will play a concert in Chicago in support of Democrat Kina Collins, who’s running in the 2022 U.S. House election. After a trip back to Europe and Australia in July, The Strokes will return to the U.S. in August to open for Red Hot Chili Peppers.
