St. Vincent has confirmed that she’s planning to release a new album in 2021.

“The rumors are true,” the musician otherwise known as Annie Clark tweeted Tuesday. “New record ‘locked and loaded’ for 2021.”

“Can’t wait for you to hear it,” she added.

The tweet arrived after a Reddit user posted a screen-shot of a new interview with Clark featured in the print edition of the U.K.’s Mojo magazine, in which she similarly stated that a new St. Vincent record was “locked and loaded.”

In the interview, Clark also commented that the upcoming album would be a “tectonic shift” from her last effort, 2017’s MASSEDUCTION.

“I felt I had gone as far as I could possibly go with angularity,” she explained. “I was interested in going back to the music I’ve listened to more than any other — Stevie Wonder records from the early ’70s, Sly and The Family Stone. I studied at the feet of those masters.”
