Soundgarden announces ‘Live From The Artists Den’ live film, album and immersive events
Yesterday (May 16th), Soundgarden, along with the Chris Cornell Estate, UMe and Artists Den announced that they will be releasing products and immersive events entitled Soundgarden: Live From The Artists Den. In February 2013, the band ended their sold out U.S. tour in support of King Animal with a special Live From The Artists Den taping in Los Angeles. The 29-song, two hour show included hits like “Outshined,” “Black Hole Sun,” “By Crooked Steps” and “Been Away Too Long.”
A limited edition Super Deluxe box will feature the complete concert film in 5.1 surround sound and stereo on Blu-ray, and more than 30 minutes of bonus interviews with the band, a 40-page photo book and more.
Additional products scheduled for release include digital live video and a digital live album, which will also be available on vinyl.
The immersive events throughout June will include a screening of the full 29-song show in New York and Los Angeles, as well as an additional screening in Seattle.
Guitarist Kim Thayil said in a statement, “We were very proud and excited to document the performance of our new material from King Animal, and to celebrate with each other and our fans.”
Vicky Cornell added, “This live show was really special, and I know how much fun Chris had that night. The idea of giving fans the opportunity to experience it in its entirety is something I’m proud to share with them.”
Soundgarden: Live from the Artists Den is out July 26, 2019.
Tickets for the immersive events are on sale now.
