Shinedown lands fifth top 10 album with ’Planet Zero’

Shinedown‘s Planet Zero has debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard 200.

The seventh studio effort from Brent Smith and company lands at #5 on the chart, racking up 49,000 equivalent album units, 43,000 of which were traditional album sales.

Planet Zero‘s lead single and title track hit #1 on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Follow-up single “Daylight” currently sits in the top 10.

Shinedown’s current tour in support of Planet Zero continues Monday in Casper, Wyoming. The band currently has U.S. dates scheduled into October.
