  • Late Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell’s daughter Lily shared a simple yet beautiful tribute on Father’s Day. She posted a never-before-released photo of her father kissing her as a baby after her birth in 2000, writing next to it, “I love you.” Lily is the oldest of Cornell’s three children and the only one with ex-wife Susan Silver. Cornell passed away last month at the age of 52. (Alternative Nation)

  • Rise Against‘s latest album, Wolves, debuted at Number Nine on the Billboard 200 album chart this week, with first-week sales of 29,000 copies. It’s the fifth top 10 set for the act, following 2014’s The Black Market, 2011’s Endgame — which was the band’s highest charting disc at Number Two — 2008’s Appeal To Reason and 2006’s The Sufferer And The Witness.   • Twenty One Pilots shared their feelings about Coachella during their headlining set at Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware, this past Friday night (June 16th). FrontmanTyler Joseph told the crowd, “It’s not that we don’t like Coachella, it’s just that we can’t stand it.” He continued by saying that they would rather perform for the Firefly crowd “any day.”
  • Lorde explained in a new interview that being friends with a megastar like Taylor Swift is not a simple thing, explaining, “It’s like having a friend with very specific allergies. There are certain places you can’t go together. Certain things you can’t do,” Lorde added that maintaining a friendship with someone so famous comes with a “different sets of considerations” and is “like having a friend with an autoimmune disease.” (The Guardian)
