  • Ray Burton, father of late Metallica bassist Cliff Burton, said in a statement that his son would have been thrilled about having February 10th proclaimed “Cliff Burton Day” by Alameda County supervisors. Cliff would have turned 56 years old on that date had he lived. Ray said, “I do not have a moment of doubt that, if Cliff were alive, he would have had a huge smile on his face about receiving this proclamation,” adding, “February 10th has always been a very special day for me, and I am honored to now share this day with everyone in Castro Valley.” (Blabbermouth)

  • Korn drummer Ray Luzier has confirmed that he will be touring as part of his Korn bandmate Jonathan Davis‘ backing band. Davis is readying a new solo album for a release later in the year, on which Luzier also laid down the drum tracks. Davis will kick off his solo trek on April 6th in Portland, Oregon. (The PRP)
