  • The house where Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington took his life is available for rent. The 3,956-square-foot, five-bedroom residence in the Palos Verdes area of Los Angeles County is being offered at the price of $8,800 a month. Earlier in the month, Bennington’s widow asked fans to stop leaving flowers, letters and other tributes to her husband at the house, saying it was “disturbing our tenants.” (Blabbermouth)

  • Chris Cornell’s final recording, the title song to the movie The Promise, did not earn a posthumous Oscar nomination for the late Soundgarden singer despite a campaign pushing the track.
