Red Hot Chili Peppers perform at Facebook, Napster exec’s house
Red Hot Chili Peppers played a show on April 13th for a gala called the Sean Parker and The Parker Foundation Launch for The Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy. The event was hosted at Facebook and Napster executive Sean Parker's home in Holmby Hills, California.
- The band played "Can't Stop," "Otherside," "Californication" and "By the Way."
- Parker, along with his wife Alexandra, welcomed a who's-who of celebrities to their home, including Orlando Bloom, John Legend, Sean Penn and Katy Perry.
- Legend and Lady Gaga also performed. The Foundation announced a $250 million grant to kickstart funding for the institute and its research initiatives.
Red Hot Chili Peppers have now completed work on their 11th studio album and first since 2011's I'm With You. According to fan YouTube channel RHCPtv5, however, the disc is likely to be pushed back from an originally rumored April release date to sometime this summer. The channel reported that the release date was "uncertain" but that the album would surface by "mid-summer for sure."
