Papa Roach has made a $150,000 to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, using money raised alongside Shinedown and Spiritbox during the Revolutions Live tour.
The “Last Resort” rockers share the news alongside the premiere of the live video for “Leave a Light On,” a track off their latest album, Ego Trip. The song has since been renamed “Leave a Light On (Talk Away the Dark)” in honor of the AFSP’s Talk Away the Dark campaign.
“This issue doesn’t just affect one of us, or a few of us, it affects all of us,” says frontman Jacoby Shaddix. “We’re proud to work alongside the AFSP to support their mission to bring hope to those affected by suicide, and proud that this song — which has been special to us since it was first written — can play a part in bringing a little more light to an incredibly important topic.”
You can watch the “Leave a Light On (Talk Away the Dark)” video streaming now on YouTube. The track will be released as a single on October 31, and royalties from its use will be donated to AFSP.
