Twenty years later, The White Stripes‘ “Black Math” is getting a video.
An official clip accompanying the Elephant cut will debut Friday, April 21, at 10 a.m. ET on YouTube. A preview posted to the Stripes’ Facebook page shows wire figure recreations of Jack and Meg White based on the Elephant album cover, and has similar vibes to the Lego animation video for “Fell in Love with a Girl.”
The premiere of the “Black Math” video coincides with Friday’s release of the 20th anniversary vinyl Elephant reissue. A digital deluxe version of the album, featuring remastered audio and a live recording of a 2003 Chicago concert, was released in March.
Elephant, the fourth White Stripes album, was released April 1, 2003. Along with “Black Math,” Elephant includes the massive guitar anthem “Seven Nation Army,” as well as the classic White Stripes tunes “The Hardest Button to Button” and “Ball and Biscuit.”
