Miley Cyrus has recruited a trio of big names to guest on a cover of Metallica‘s “Nothing Else Matters.”

In an interview London’s Capital FM, the pop star reveals that her upcoming rendition of the Black Album classic will feature Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and piano from Elton John, as well as famed cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

The track will be produced by Andrew Watt, who worked with Ozzy Osbourne on his 2020 Ordinary Man album, as well as on Cyrus’ recently released rock-influenced effort, Plastic Hearts.

“I’m really stoked, I mean, having Elton John and Metallica and me, it’s just…I love when ingredients don’t quite fit or it seems like a concoction that no one would ever put together,” Cyrus explains. “And you gotta have someone wild enough like Watt that’ll take that risk.”

In an interview last fall, Cyrus suggested that she was working on a whole Metallica covers album, though it appears from her comments during the Capital FM conversation that she only recorded her take “Nothing Else Matters” for an upcoming compilation of Metallica covers by multiple artists.

Cyrus previously covered “Nothing Else Matters” live at Glastonbury 2019. She’s also won the hearts of rock fans with her versions of Temple of the Dog‘s “Say Hello 2 Heaven” and The Cranberries“Zombie.”
