Matt and Kim and Brittany Howard are both taking it back to the ’60s with new covers

The “Daylight” duo has shared a rendition of the 1963 Lesley Gore song “You Don’t Own Me” in honor of International Women’s Day. The cover, which features lead vocals from Kim, is available now via digital download.

Matt and Kim’s most recent album is 2018’s Almost Everyday.

Meanwhile, the Alabama Shakes frontwoman has premiered a studio version of her take on Jackie Wilson‘s 1967 hit “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher,” which she’d previously performed live. The recording is out now exclusively via Amazon Music.

Howard released her debut solo album, Jaime, in 2019. You can watch her perform at this year’s Grammys, airing this Sunday, March 14, on CBS.
