Marcus Mumford‘s new song “Cannibal” is providing a lot of firsts.

Not only is it the first single off the Mumford & Sons frontman’s debut solo album, its visual, which premiered last week, marks the first-ever music video directed by Steven Spielberg.

In an Instagram post, Mumford reveals that the iconic Jaws and Jurassic Park filmmaker helmed the “Cannibal” clip, adding that Spielberg’s wife, painter and former actor Kate Capshaw, was the producer, art director and dolly grip for the shoot.

“On Sunday 3rd July in a high school gym in New York, Steven Spielberg directed his first music video, in one shot, on his phone,” Mumford writes. “Kate Capshaw was the almighty dolly grip.”

“I’ve been overwhelmed by the support of the people around me to bring this music to you, and I cannot hope to express all of my gratitude,” he continued. “When people get it, it blows my mind. Kate and Steven just got it, and I cannot thank them enough.”

Mumford’s debut solo album, (self-titled), will be released September 16.
