Julian Casablancas‘ band The Voidz has released a new song, “Alien Crime Lord.”

The track first premiered in the new Grand Theft Auto Online video game update, in which The Strokes frontman hosts his own in-game radio station.

In a statement about “Alien Crime Lord,” The Voidz says, “We wanted to make a song that sounded like Jean Claude Van Damme standing up on a speeding motorcycle while firing perfect bullets through the windshield of an oncoming nemesis, then finishing the job with a controlled flip over the top of the vehicle that ends in a maelstrom of denim and flames.”

The Voidz will also be performing “Alien Crime Lord” on NBC’s The Tonight Show this Thursday, December 17.

The Strokes, meanwhile, released their long-awaited new album The New Abnormal this past April.
