Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd has officially released his cover of the Cat Stevens song “Wild World” on digital outlets.

Boyd previously debuted the track last December during a virtual festival in honor of Stevens, who’s now known as Yusuf. Other performers during the stream included HAIM, Dave Matthews and Jack Johnson.

Speaking about his version of “Wild World,” Boyd shared, “About as close to a perfectly written song as one can get, I was mindful of ‘interpreting’ it and decided to honor this piece of art by playing it in its original arrangement.”

If you enjoyed Boyd’s take on “Wild World,” there’s more where that came from. Speaking to NME last summer, Boyd said he was working on a new solo album consisting of “mostly covers.”
