Paramore‘s Hayley Williams has premiered an acoustic version of “Simmer,” the lead single off her debut solo album, Petals for Armor.

The unplugged recording, which features a brief guest spot from Williams’s dog, Alf, is included on the upcoming EP Petals for Armor: Self-Serenades.

“If you listen closely you can hear Alf sigh dramatically in the opening line,” Williams says. “Like mother like son.”

Self-Serenades also includes an acoustic rendition of the Petals for Armor cut “Why We Ever,” plus a new song called “Find Me Here.” It’s due out December 18.
