Grey Daze — the late Chester Bennington‘s pre-Linkin Park band — has announced an online listening party celebrating the release of the upcoming Amends…Stripped EP.

The virtual event kicks off Thursday at 4 p.m. ET via the Grey Daze YouTube channel. It’ll feature playback of the songs off Amends…Stripped, accompanied by animated illustrations by sand artist Anna Strelkova.

“We wanted to create a unique listening experience for our fans to hear this EP for the first time,” says drummer Sean Dowdell. “One that was visual, moving, and something we had never seen done before. The nature of sand art as a medium is one that fits well, aesthetically, with the stripped down nature of this particular music.”

Amends…Stripped features acoustic versions of songs off the new Grey Daze album Amends, which was released in 2020. Like the full record, the EP consists of newly recorded instrumentals accompanying Bennington’s vocal takes from the original Grey Daze sessions back in the ’90s.

Amends…Stripped will be released this Friday digitally. It’ll be available on vinyl April 9.
