Gorillaz has shared a tribute to late De La Soul rapper David Jolicoeur aka Trugoy the Dove.

The hip-hop trio famously collaborated with Damon Albarn‘s virtual band on the 2005 single “Feel Good Inc.,” which memorably featured a verse by Jolicoeur.

In a tweet alongside a photo of Gorillaz and De La Soul performing together, Albarn’s group writes, “Our brother [heart emoji] we love you.”

Albarn also took to Instagram to share a somber piano melody in honor of Jolicoeur.

“A loop for Dave,” Albarn writes. “I love you.”

Following the Grammy-winning “Feel Good Inc.,” Gorillaz and De La Soul reunited on the songs “Superfast Jellyfish” and “Momentz.”

Rolling Stone confirmed over the weekend that Jolicoeur had passed away. He was 54.
