Newly-minted Oscar winner Trent Reznor is ready to get back to his day job.

Fresh off winning Best Original Score for Soul, Reznor told ABC Audio backstage on Sunday that he’ll soon be working on new Nine Inch Nails music.

“We do some rock music, we come back and do some film work,” Reznor said of he and band mate/scoring partner Atticus Ross‘ workflow. “We’ve just done three pretty big film things — Watchmen, Mank, Soul — in a row.”

“We should be on tour but COVID has prevented that,” he added. “We are planning on working on New Inch Nails material soon as…probably tomorrow.”

Reznor shared the Soul win with Ross and The Late Show bandleader Jon Batiste. It’s the NIN pair’s second Oscar win, following their The Social Network score.
