Florence + the Machine has premiered a new song called “Mermaids.”

The horn-laden track mixes the fantastical imagery suggested by the title with a shout-out to Britney Spears and lyrics such as “The world is so much wilder than you think/You haven’t seen nothing until you’ve seen an English girl drink.”

You can listen to “Mermaids” now via digital outlets, and watch its accompanying lyric video streaming now on YouTube.

“Mermaids” is included on the newly released Complete Edition of Florence’s 2022 album, Dance Fever. The expanded set also features several “Poem Versions” of Dance Fever tracks.

In March, Florence + the Machine released a cover of No Doubt‘s “Just a Girl” for the second season of the Showtime series Yellowjackets.
