We’ve got a pair of headlines from the alternative-musicians-scoring-films division.
First, Finneas is scoring his first-ever film. According to Variety, he’ll be composing music for an upcoming high school drama called The Fallout.
“Finneas brought a level of empathy to the characters that could only come from a composer who is from the same generation,” says The Fallout music supervisor, Peymon Maskan.
Finneas does have some experience in the writing-music-for-films world — he worked with his sister Billie Eilish on the theme for the new James Bond movie No Time to Die.
Meanwhile, Arcade Fire‘s score to the 2013 film Her is finally getting an official release. It’ll be available March 19 digitally and on vinyl and cassette.
Arcade Fire composed the score in collaboration with musician Owen Pallett. It was nominated for the Best Original Score Oscar.
Her also featured the Karen O track “The Moon Song,” which was nominated for Best Original Song.
