Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump is working on a new soundtrack for the upcoming The Banana Splits Movie, which is described as a horror movie reboot of the popular 1960s kids’ show.

A rock band made up of four fictional animal characters, the Banana Splits first appeared in a children’s variety program called The Banana Splits Adventure Hour that initially ran on Saturday mornings from 1968 through 1970. The upcoming movie, however, is said to give the concept an R-rated horror twist. It will air later this year on Syfy.

Stump has composed several scores in the past, including the films Gnome AloneSpell and Changeland, along with a six-part science docuseries called Let Science Speak. Stump also provided the voice for a character in Gnome Alone.

Fall Out Boy’s last album, Mania, came out in January 2018 and was followed by an EP called Lake Effect Kid later that year. The band is currently on a break with no official plans at the moment.
