After Daft Punk announced they were splitting up earlier this week, fans revisited the duo’s music not just “One More Time,” but many, many more times.
According to Billboard, sales and streams of Daft Punk’s songs and albums jumped following Monday’s breakup announcement. Sales surged by 594 percent, while streams increased by 242 percent.
Individually, “One More Time” has been the best-selling Daft Punk song in the post-breakup world, leaping a total of 1,127 downloads in sales. The track also saw a 358 percent jump in streams.
As for albums, 2001’s Discovery leads with a 1,075 percent boost in sales.
Daft Punk revealed the news of their split in an eight-minute video titled “Epilogue.” Their final album is 2013’s Grammy-winning Random Access Memories, which spawned the mega-hit “Get Lucky.”
