Chester Bennington’s widow shares video recorded two months before his death

Late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington‘s widow has shared a touching video that her husband sent to her two months before he took his own life.In the 45-second clip, which Talinda Bennington posted to her Twitter account, Chester can be seen saying to his wife, “I just wanted to tell you how much I love you and how much I miss you. And I just think that you’re the most amazing woman in the whole world. You’re such a great mom, and you’re the best wife. And I’m so glad that you and I can always find a way to keep the magic alive and keep our love strong and be there for each other no matter what. And I just want you to know how much I appreciate you, and how great you are, and I miss you. I love you. Bye.”
- Talinda uploaded the video on Thursday (November 9th), writing in an accompanying message, “My one true love. I miss these msgs from my @ChesterBe.This was 2 months before he died. #f**kdepression #makechesterproud”
- Bennington committed suicide on July 20th at the age of 41. He had been open with the press and public about his struggles with depression, drugs and alcohol, which landed him in rehab twice around 2006.
- Using the hashtags #F**kDepression and #MakeChesterProud, Talinda launched an online community to support people struggling with depression, as well as those who have been impacted by a loved one’s depression or suicide.
- Linkin Park paid tribute to Chester on October 27th with an emotional three-hour show that featured numerous guests joining the band onstage at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The band has yet to announce whether it intends to continue without its vocalist.
