Brittany Howard has teamed up with British singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka for a new remix of her song, “13th Century Metal.”

The updated recording is part of Howard’s ongoing project releasing remixes of songs off her debut solo album, Jaime. She’s previously shared remixes done by Bon Iver and hip hop duo EarthGang.

In addition to working together on the remix, both Howard and Kiwanuka are 2021 Grammy nominees. The Alabama Shakes frontwoman is nominated in a total of five categories, including Best Alternative Music Album for Jaime, while Kiwanuka’s 2019 self-titled effort is up for Best Rock Album.
