Bring Me the Horizon drops new single, "Parasite Eve"
Bring Me the Horizon‘s new single is finally here.
The long-teased tune, titled “Parasite Eve,” is now available for digital download. The song’s lyrics seem to reference the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic with lyrics such as “When we forget the infection/will we remember the lesson?”
Speaking to NME, frontman Oli Sykes explains that “Parasite Eve” is the first preview of a new project consisting of “four different records over the next year [that] all share the name Post Human.”
“They’ll each be tonally different with their own sound and mood,” Sykes says. “That’s one thing we’ve never really done. There’s often been an over-arching theme on our records, but the music has always felt like a collage. That’s cool and I like it, but sometimes you want a soundtrack for a certain occasion and emotion.”
“Parasite Eve” follows Bring Me the Horizon’s Music to listen to… EP, which dropped last December. The group’s most recent full-length is the Grammy-nominated Amo, which was released January 2019.
