Blur drummer Dave Rowntree has announced his debut solo album, Radio Songs.
The record is set to arrive January 20, 2023. It includes the previously released song “London Bridge.” A second track, “Devil’s Island,” is out now via digital outlets.
While Radio Songs marks Rowntree’s first official solo effort, he’s pursued many interests outside of Blur, including English politics. In 2017, he was elected to Norfolk County Council as a member of the Labour Party, a position he held until 2021.
Meanwhile, Rowntree’s Blur bandmate Damon Albarn released a new solo album last November and has also been busy with his band Gorillaz. Blur’s most recent album is 2015’s The Magic Whip.
Here’s the Radio Songs track list:
“Devil’s Island”
“Downtown”
“London Bridge”
“1000 Miles”
“HK”
“Tape Measure”
“Machines Like Me”
“Black Sheep”
“Volcano”
“Who’s Asking”
