Blink-182‘s Travis Barker is known for his hard-hitting drumming style, but he may have drummed a little too hard during a recent rehearsal session.

In a tweet Wednesday, Barker shared, “I was playing the drums at rehearsals yesterday and I smashed my finger so hard I dislocated it and tore the ligaments.”

The timing of the injury isn’t exactly ideal, as Blink-182 kicks off a massive world tour next month. The outing, which launches March 11 in Mexico and comes to the U.S. in May, marks the return of founding vocalist and guitarist Tom DeLonge, who’d been absent from Blink since 2015 before reuniting with the group last year.

Blink hasn’t shared any public comments on Barker’s injury or whether it will affect the tour.

Barker, meanwhile, has had a rough go of it healthwise over the past year. Last summer, he was hospitalized with pancreatitis, and two months later, he caught COVID-19. He also broke his toe last November.
