Billie Eilish to honor Peggy Lee during Grammy Museum-hosted 100th birthday celebration
Billie Eilish will pay tribute to the late singer Peggy Lee during a Grammy Museum-hosted panel celebrating the centennial of Lee’s birth.
The pre-recorded event will feature the “bad guy” singer talking about how Lee inspired her own music, along with k.d. lang and Eric Burton of the psychedelic soul band Black Pumas. Lee’s granddaughter, Holly Foster Wells, will also take part.
You can watch the panel on May 26 — Lee’s 100th birthday — via GrammyMuseum.org.
The Grammy Museum is also opening a virtual exhibit dedicated to Lee’s life, marking the institution’s first new exhibit to open online amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The display is slated to open in the physical Grammy Museum in the spring of 2021.
