alt-J plans to give out free condoms and provide a platform for conversations about sexual health on the band’s current tour. Teaming with Lifebeat, a nonprofit that “engages the music industry to promote awareness of HIV and other STIs,” the band will take an educational approach, something other artists have done in the past.

The band said in a post on social media, “USA + Canada. We’re teaming up with @Lifebeat to talk about safe sex, risks + support services while on the road this spring. Look for them at our upcoming shows to say hi, grab some condoms and learn how to stay safe.”

Alt-J continues its current North American trek through the rest of this month before heading overseas in May. But the British act will be back in the U.S. for a new round of shows starting on June 6th in St. Louis.

The group is on the road behind its third album, Relaxer, which came out last June and features the singles “3WW” and “In Cold Blood.”

The disc follows up 2014’s This Is All Yours, which featured the Number Two breakthrough hit “Left Hand Free.”
