A Perfect Circle has shared a 2D video for “TalkTalk,” the third single off their first album in 14 years, Eat The Elephant. The video is taken from the companion film to the album, which was directed by Steven Sebring. Sebring created a unique addition to the deluxe box set edition of the LP: taking a prism included with the set and placing it on a smartphone, a holographic accompaniment to the album is generated as a film which runs for the duration of the record.

Singer Maynard James Keenan said about the holographic film, “It is very much a combined experience of the tactile and the visual. I come from an era where the physical pieces were something that you cherished. Double-gate foldout with the big images, the interaction of putting vinyl on a turntable I think is lost in the digital age . . . something like this brings back that visual excitement for people.”

The 58-minute hologram unfolds through the eyes of a young girl over the 12-song album arc. The band, led by Keenan and guitarist Billy Howerdel, had “almost zero” input into which footage would be used in the film.

Eat The Elephant was released on April 20th and debuted at Number Three on the Billboard 200 album sales survey, moving 68,000 copies in its first week. All four of the band’s studio offerings have debuted in the Top Five.

A Perfect Circle wraps up a short North American jaunt this Saturday (May 26th) in Dallas, after which A Perfect Circle will head to Europe.
