PRETTY RECKLESS FIRST FEMALE-FRONTED BAND TO REACH NUMBER ONE WITH FIRST TWO HITS

The Pretty Reckless has become the only female-fronted band to hit Number One on the rock radio chart with its first two hit singles. "Heaven Knows" reached the top spot in March, while the band's latest single, "Messed Up World," just climbed to Number One in the past week.

The Pretty Reckless is also just the second female-fronted group to hit Number One following Halestorm. The only other female voice to top the rock chart was that of Alannah Myles with "Black Velvet" back in 1990.

Singer Taylor Momsen told us where the band was when she learned that "Heaven Knows" had become their first chart-topper: "We were in Europe and I went, 'Oh, it's great, we have a Number One in America and we're in Europe. No offense to Europe, Europe's awesome, but we're always in the wrong place at the wrong time." in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
