NEW 3 DOORS DOWN ALBUM IS MORE ROCKING, SAYS SINGER
3 Doors Down has set April 12th as the release date for Time Of My Life, the band's fifth studio effort. The band recorded the album in Los Angeles, where they worked with co-writers like frequent Aerosmith collaborator Marti Frederiksen and the Nixons' Zac Maloy. Singer Brad Arnold told Billboard.com about the disc, "I can't tell you how much confidence I have in it. There's a lot of songs on there that I think will appeal to a lot of people . . . It's a bit like our first record, only much more modern and with a lot more confidence."
Arnold told us that the new disc is a more rocking effort that the band's past few records: "It is. It's definitely got some rock songs on it, man, and got some good mid-tempo ones also and maybe not quite as lovey-dovey songs as a couple of the other records have had on them."
The first single from the set, "When You're Young," has already been released to rock radio.
The new CD will follow up 2008's self-titled album. The group's debut, The Better Life, was issued in 2000.
3 Doors Down has yet to announce full tour plans, but will hit the road in the U.S. this summer. The band will perform on January 28 in Raleigh, North Carolina as part of the festivities surrounding the NHL All-Star Game.
