MONSTER MAGNET RETURNS WITH NEW ALBUM

Monster Magnet left their record label, fired their manager, and replaced their bassist and drummer -- all within the last three years, and all the while trying to record a new album, Monolithic Baby! -- out today (May 25th). Band founder and frontman Dave Wyndorf says he had a harrowing time dealing with both the business and creative side of the music industry: "Dealing with business and music at the same time is a pretty harrowing experience. One robs from the other. At the same time, these days more than ever, the artist has to pay attention to what's going on business-wise somewhat, or nobody's gonna save you. You know, a manager ain't gonna save you, nobody's really gonna save you, you have to do it yourself to a certain extent."

A special limited edition of Monolithic Baby! will contain DVD bonus material, including two music videos and two live performances.

To celebrate today's CD release, Monster Magnet will be signing autographs and performing live at Vintage Vinyl in Fords, New Jersey.
