LINKIN PARK PUSHED THE ENVELOPE FOR 'BREAKING THE HABIT'

Linkin Park's video for the band's latest single, "Breaking The Habit," has finally been released. The video was originally expected in April, but the animation epic was created by the same people behind the cartoon sequence in Kill Bill, Volume 1, and required more time to complete.


The band decided to push the envelope for the video, as they did for the song itself. Lead singer Chester Bennington told us that "Breaking The Habit" pushed the group to a place they've never been: "It's a really different song for us and I think it's a interesting direction for us to go into. There's really not a lot of heavy guitars. There's strings. There's programmed beats. There's a lot of ambient things going on, and the emotion is within the movement of the strings and the melody. And I think its a really different track for us and I think people are really going to like it."

Linkin Park begins its summer tour as part of the 2004 Projekt Revolution on July 23rd in Cincinnati.
