JACK WHITE TAKES IN MARINERS GAME WITH EDDIE VEDDER AND PAUL SIMON
Jack White took in a Seattle Mariners game on Wednesday afternoon (August 27th) at Safeco Field with none other than Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder and the legendary Paul Simon. Sadly, the Mariners lost to the Texas Rangers by a score of 12 to 4, but that didn't stop the three rock icons from getting together for an Instagram photo. The game was the latest on a series of baseball-related stops White has been making on his current tour.
His other activities have included throwing out the first pitch at a game in his hometown of Detroit, hanging out with Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson in Oakland, chatting with Rockies slugger Justin Morneau during batting practice in Colorado, and visiting the Negro Leagues Museum in Kansas City.
White will also play the "Bleacher Theater" at Boston's Fenway Park on September 17th, on a stage set up above the right field bullpen in the home park of the Red Sox.
White has been playing through pain for the better part of a week, having severely sprained his ankle during a recent show but refusing to postpone any dates.
The singer and guitarist is touring in support of his chart-topping second solo album, Lazaretto.
