Fans are speculating that the new Slipknot song, "The Negative One," features drumming from Lamb Of God's Chris Adler. ABC News caught up with Adler and asked him if the rumors were true, to which Adler replied, "Right now I think silence is golden. Right now I don't think those guys need me, or need me talking about it."

Asked to respond to fans saying that the style of drumming on the track sounded like his, Adler replied, "You know, I listened to it and I thought it sounded a little bit like me, too. At the moment, I just don't recall doing it."

Adler added, "I'm getting texts and emails and phone calls about it. But for the moment, I don't know anything about it."

Slipknot parted ways with founding drummer Joey Jordison last December. Without getting specific, singer Corey Taylor told us what happened: "I mean, the only way I can say it is that his life and our lives were going in two separate areas, and it was hard. You know, we were trying to put something together and it just seemed like he was going down a path that wasn't the way we were going. And unfortunately we had to do what was best for the band."

Reports have suggested that drummer Jay Weinberg was recruited to play on the new album and tour. Weinberg is the son of Max Weinberg, longtime E Street Band drummer.

Slipknot's fifth album is due out in October and follows up 2008's All Hope Is Gone. It's the band's first without Jordison and late founding bassist Paul Gray. An official first single, "The Devil In I," will arrive soon.
