Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and The Who singer Roger Daltrey are among the rock superstars who will appear on the third season of Rock & Roll Road Trip With Sammy Hagar. The AXS TV-produced series features Hagar traveling the country to interview and perform with some of music’s biggest stars. The former Van Halen vocalist also serves as one of its executive producers.

The new season is scheduled to air in early 2018 and will include episodes featuring Sarah McLachlanBob Weir plus Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, in addition to Grohl and Daltrey.

  • Hagar said he was surprised how well the interviews have gone, explaining, “When the camera lights go on and the questions start, that typical wall or guard is down because it’s me on the other end and not a seasoned journalist asking the questions. So the flow is organic and its easy -- to the point where we’re both surprised how deep and real the conversations get.”
  • The show premiered in January 2016 and included segments with former Van Halen bassist Michael AnthonyMotley Crue‘s Tommy LeeZZ Top‘s Billy Gibbons,Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and others in its first two seasons.
  • Other guests will be announced as the season premiere gets closer.
  • Daltrey and The Who recently released a career retrospective box set titled Maximum A's & B's, while Grohl and Foo Fighters will issue their ninth studio LP, Concrete And Gold, on September 15th.
