Late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington's widow Talinda has posted music online from Chester’s 21-year-old son Jaime, tweeting, “Our son Jaime is as talented as his father.” Talinda linked to Jaime's new four-song EP, titled Reveries 4, which features piano-based compositions.
Jaime is Chester's eldest child and his mother is Elka Brand. He said online, “To be honest, I ran out of ideas and I most definitely ran out of motivation. But I’m back and I have come bearing gifts! Below are the next installments of my Reveries compositions. This time around I have gone the whole nine yards to construct a collection of pieces, rather than one big one (although there is a lengthy piece at the end).”
- Jaime added that his inspiration behind the pieces was noted 20th Century Russian composer Dimitri Shostakovich, saying he studied "every symphony, brooding string quartet and whimsical piano solo" by the composer over the past six months.
- Chester also adopted Brand's other son, Isaiah, in 2006. The singer's other four children include a 15-year-old son named Draven by his first wife Samantha and three young children -- twin girls and a boy -- with Talinda.
- Chester was found dead in his Los Angeles-area home on July 20th with the cause of death ruled as suicide by hanging. He was buried in a private service on July 29th.
