BEASTIE BOYS TRIBUTE LAUNCHES IN NEW YORK CITY

The 25th anniversary of Beastie Boys album, Paul's Boutique, is being celebrated in the exact spot where the rap trio shot the cover art for the record.

According to Brokelyn, artist Danielle Mastrion began painting a mural celebrating the milestone on a wall outside of the sandwich shop which now stands on the corner of Rivington and Ludlow streets in New York City. The project kicked off on Saturday morning (July 26th) thanks to the effort of LeRoy McCarthy -- the man who unsuccessfully attempt to get the intersection renamed to be Beastie Boys Square.

Mastrion is set to continue working on the mural until her design is complete.
