Panic! At The Disco bassist Dallon Weekes has announced he’s leaving the band. “For the last eight years I’ve had the incredible opportunity to perform in Panic! At The Disco,” Weekes writes in an Instagram post. “While I’m sad to announce that my time with Panic! has come to an end, I’m excited to continue making music with my new project I Don’t Know How But They Found Me.”

Panic! first enlisted Weekes as a touring member in 2009, and he officially joined the band in 2010. After playing on the band’s 2013 album Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die! Weekes announced he’d be returning to his status as a touring member in 2015, leaving frontman Brendon Urie as the only official Panic! member.

  • “I’m grateful for the chance I’ve had to be part of Panic! at the Disco for nearly a decade,” Weekes writes. “I will always consider myself indebted to those who made me feel welcome to be a part of P!ATD. You changed my life. Thank you all.”
  • Weekes will now focus on I Don't Know How But They Found Me, a solo project that he launched earlier this year.
