Vladimir Tarasenko broke a 2-all tie 58 seconds into the third period and the Blues went on to beat the Canucks 4-3 at Scottrade.  The Blues make a quick trip to Buffalo to play the Sabres tomorrow afternoon and then are back home against the Panthers Monday at Scottrade.

 

The NHL is suspending Anaheim Ducks forward Antoine Vermette 10 games without pay for physical abuse of officials.  Vermette slashed at the legs of linesman Shandor Alphonso after losing a faceoff during Tuesday's 1-0 win in Minnesota.  The 34-year-old has eight goals and 14 assists in 58 games this season, his first with Anaheim.

Cardinals pitcher Alex Reyes is beginning the long recovery process after Tommy John surgery.  The 22-year-old had surgery yesterday and will be out 12-to-18 months.  With Reyes out, Michael Wacha, Luke Weaver and Trevor Rosenthal are rotation candidates.

 

Although most have already been in camp, today is the day that Cardinals' position players are required to report to spring training.  The full squad will work out for the first time this weekend.  The Cardinals begin exhibition play a week from tomorrow against the Marlins.

 

Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis is finding himself in some off-field trouble.  Revis was charged with four felonies and a misdemeanor for a fight that occurred over the weekend in Pittsburgh.  Revis is looking at two felony counts of aggravated assault, one felony count of robbery and conspiracy and a misdemeanor count of terroristic threats.  Two men were reportedly knocked unconscious after the altercation with Revis and his friend.  The corner was widely expected to be released by the Jets before this incident occurred and become an unrestricted free agent.   
 

A Lindenwood University football player will get the opportunity to impress NFL scouts.  Lindenwood linebacker Connor Harris has been invited to the NFL Scouting Combine.  The Combine is a camp that allows college players who are eligible to enter the NFL to show off some of their skills to pro scouts.  The Combine takes place from February 28th through March 6th at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. 
 

New Orleans is the home for all of the NBA's All-Star weekend festivities.  The action gets started tonight with the Rising Stars Challenge game featuring rookies and sophomores split into a USA and World team.  Tomorrow is All-Star Saturday Night.  Warriors guard Klay Thompson is defending his Three-Point Contest title and the Magic's Aaron Gordon is hoping to win the Slam Dunk Contest.  The All-Star Game will be played on Sunday
